Extraordinary success for “Firenze Insolita”, the theatrical walks to discover the Florentine residences and places frequented by the great writers of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

By popular demand, it also continues in May and June: “Firenze Insolita 2: Oltrarno” is the new cycle of events organized by the cultural association Archètipo directed by Riccardo Massai, with the support of UnicoopFirenze.

A new path that, from Saturday 8 May to Sunday 20 June, will reveal, among others, the birthplace of Aldo Palazzeschi, the house where Carlo Levi composed his masterpiece Christ stopped in Eboli - the same building in which Umberto also lived Saba - the palace where Rainer Maria Rilke composed the Florentine Diary, the residences of the poets Elizabeth Barrett and Robert Browning, the one where Sibilla Aleramo received desperate letters from Dino Campana.

To lead us among works, stories and anecdotes, will be the tour guides Laura Gensini and Chiara Migliorini, with the theatrical forays of the actors Chiara Ciofini and Rosario Campisi.

Walking from one house to another, we will also talk about intellectuals who lived in the Florentine Oltrarno districts: Marino Moretti, Giovanni Papini, Tommaso Landolfi ... And again, the San Frediano district with the eyes of Vasco Pratolini and the house where Giorgio De Chirico lived, in a succession of literature, architecture, art and curiosities with the support of period images to rediscover Florence and the lives of the writers who lived there.

A unique experience, narration and theater in comparison, history and books in the places that inspired them.
All participants will be provided with sanitized earphones to enjoy the visit safely and in full compliance with anti-Covid regulations.

“Firenze Insolita 2: Oltrarno” will offer 14 events on weekends in May (Saturday at 4.30 pm, Sunday at 10.00 am) and June (Saturday at 6.00 pm, Sunday at 10.00 am).
